MGFA Students Featured on Darlington College Podcast

We’re proud to share that several MGFA students recently joined Martin Gray on the Darlington College “Learned It Living It” Podcast, reflecting on their journeys through football, education and personal development.

The episode highlights what MGFA is truly about, not just developing footballers, but helping young people grow in confidence, character and ambition. Martin, alongside students Benji, James and Justin, discusses how the academy supports progression from early participation through to BTEC courses, apprenticeships and employment opportunities.

One of the key themes of the conversation is confidence. Seeing students who once struggled to speak up now thriving, contributing and planning for their futures is a powerful reminder of the impact a positive coaching and learning environment can have.

The podcast also explores the strong partnership between MGFA and Darlington College, the high standards set within the academy, and the real pathways available into further education, apprenticeships and careers within sport , including opportunities within MGFA itself.
